Alexander Hamilton absolutely despised Thomas Jefferson. Not just for trying to push down all of his plans for the benefit of Washington's business, but also him seeming to steal everything he had. Befriending Marquis De Lafayette, and befriending James Madison who originally helped him write numerous collaborations involving the business they all work for.
But to Thomas Jefferson, Hamilton was just a fence he needed to get over to continue forward. Until he learnt that this particular fence was barbed. Barbed and carefully cut beautifully.

In the summer of 1856, I returned to my childhood home in search of my father's memoirs. My mother had died two years prior, and in the last years of her life, remained ever fervently in love with Hamilton: She pressed upon me the responsibility of writing his biography, when considerable others had abandoned the task. In the pursuit of historical accuracy, I traced his footsteps through the making of America, in an attempt to recover those artifacts lost by time and bad repute.
