First part of my ongoing project "Book of Hunters", in which I reimagine the entire events of all of Hunter x Hunter. Starts as a mostly faithful novelisation of the events described in the manga and the two anime adaptations, but slowly evolves into its own story that is more inspired by the original medium rather than adapting it.

Summary
Neferpitou, a loyal scientist yet doctor to Meruem looks for medicines and mixes together chemicals to find the true cure to Meruem and Komugi’s sickness. He stays down in his lab, experimenting on firstly animals then one fateful human who goes by the name Pokkle. Unfortunately, a series of events unfold in the lab and Pitou now has to help everyone escape the mansion. Pokkle, after being tested on so much turns to not be a human, but part of the undead. A zombie, they call it. It spreads, from house to house then village to village. Will the main four survive and possibly and somehow find a cure, or will they just be another one apart of the undead?

Summary
In the Hunter Exam's most challenging stage yet, known as Lippo's Bonus Round, Pokkle finds himself stranded on a deserted island with the other participants. However, the next night an unexpected century storm wreaks havoc, destroying everything in its path, and fully submerging the island.
For the first time in Hunter Exam History, there are no survivors.
And then Pokkle wakes up.
In an unprecedented turn of events, Pokkle finds himself alive, only to face the same storm, die again, and become trapped in a relentless time loop. Pokkle is determined to break free from the cycle and save everyone from Lippo's Bonus Round – a trial akin to hell itself.
In 24 hours from the moment he wakes up, just like the time before, the storm will appear again and demolish everything. Pokkle resolves to either rescue all or perish trying.
The only good thing about this nightmare is that in each and every loop, the blue haired woman known as Ponzu becomes a key part in solving it all, and just maybe is the only reason Pokkle is able to keep it all together.

Gon turned the knife over. The metal caught the light, throwing jagged reflections across the walls. "Quiet things?"
"The way the birds stop singing before the reaping, so you go fishing instead. How the fish tastes like ash on Reaping Day, so rather you buy bread with it." She leaned closer, her breath warm and smelling of bitter herbs. "You’ll hear the difference of your name in another’s mouth.”
His grip tightened. "You think they'll call it?"
She didn't blink, her sad eyes soft yet jaded.
Gon was always too kind—never hesitated to sneak some grain to the orphans, or “accidentally” leave his basket of fish beside the clinic on bad days. It catches up to him.

Gon's working yet another temporary job while he saves money to travel, this time for an AV company that mainly deals with concerts and events. Nothing overly memorable, though the tech is cool enough. Until one night, he finds himself drawn unexpectedly to an unknown band member.
Gon doesn't know that the band member is an undercover Killua Zoldyck, nor could he possibly guess the extent of the dark secrets his new fixation is hiding from the world.
Likely a one-shot, but may consider extending if there's interest XD
