“Oh.” Mike’s expression clears, and he grins. “Well, like I said, you’re a catch, so I don’t think you’d need to worry about putting people off or something. And all of that stuff is way easier than it sounds, seriously.”
Will makes a face. “That can’t be true.”
“I’m serious!” Mike says, laughing a little. “Here, we can practice.” He shifts on the bed, arranging his legs beneath him and sitting up a little straighter, running a casual hand through his hair. “Pretend I’m a guy you like.”
Practice makes perfect, especially when the person you're practicing with is your best friend.

Yuji felt his heart pounding. Was he being serious?
"Wait, are you saying that you'd be okay with kissing me?"
Fushiguro groaned, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, whatever. It's not like it means anything. It's just, you know, to help you out."

Illi was a damn good kisser (according to most people she’d been with, at least), whilst Frank wasn’t. Well, it wouldn’t be fair to call him bad exactly, more like inexperienced. Hesitant in a way that’d make sense for someone who’d never really done it before.
And maybe that should’ve been cute, endearing even, but all she could think about was how she could fix it. How she could help him.

“Do you want to kiss PJ?” Isabel asks abruptly then, and internally Hazel can only hear her own screaming. She swallows hard.
“Uh, I don’t know. I’ve never thought about it.” Hazel lies, right through her teeth. This is a nightmare. “I— Even if I did, I think we’ve established that I wouldn’t know what to do anyways so maybe we should just— drop it, maybe—”

She’s got two braids in the front of her hair again and they frame her face perfectly. Hazel finds herself distracted by that, at least until Isabel says, “Do you want to practice?”
“Practice what?” Hazel blurts out in sheer lack of understanding, giving Isabel a look of growing confusion that she seems to almost flush a bit under.
Isabel shrugs, “Kissing.”

“So, you know, like - when you find someone you actually want to kiss, you'll know what it's like and you won't have to be as scared.” Mike’s eyes are frantic again and he’s slowly retracting the hand anchoring Will to the bed.
With panic coursing through his body, desperate not to screw his chance up, he catches Mike’s retreating hand with his own. Mike stares at their interlaced fingers, his eyebrows disappearing behind his bangs in shock.
”I-,” Will gets cut off. Mike was never really the patient one.
“You can just pretend I’m a girl, if you want.” His voice comes out strangled, nervous.
