Summary

Sighing, In-ho sat down on his couch, staring at the ceiling. He hadn't seen or talked to Gi-hun since that night at the hotel. He'd been tempted to call, but he wasn't sure if the older man wanted to hear from him or not. Jun-ho wouldn't tell him much either, only saying that Gi-hun had gone to visit his daughter in California for a couple of months.

In a jolt, Gi-hun grabbed the jacket he wore, staring at the number upside down--- ‘456’ as it always was. No, no…no, was that all a morbid dream? A nightmare as to what might happen? Was none of it real? He quickly sat up, swinging his legs over the edge, staring down at his shaking hands. Is he a ghost? He remembers falling; he remembers hearing the snap of his bones when he collided with the ground. There’s no way he could have survived that.

The games had ended, finally. Gihun had survived somehow but glad that Junhee's baby is safe thanks to Junho taking care of her. Now that the island is burned down to ashes, Junho had finally got his long lost older brother— Inho, back. Now the three and Junhee's baby lives together in Gihun's motel, Gihun thought that he had finally knew the real identity of the man behind the mask. The Frontman– Young-il — no. 𝘏𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘩𝘰. But he never knew that these names are all him, sharing the same body.

Gi-hun paid what he owed and now keeps his place running. He’s patching things up with his mother one visit at a time, waiting for his daughter’s calls that come more often these days. And there’s Jun-ho, younger and steadier than he has any right to be, still turning up at the end of every day like he belongs there, easy as breathing.
The problem is Jun-ho’s brother: scrubbed to nothing, blockers on, even off duty, looking a little more hollow each time. Whenever Gi-hun’s scent spikes, he looks for windows or exits, like looseness doesn’t fit the rules he lives by.
Gi-hun isn’t a fool, and he knows not every scent matches. But this is different. It feels personal, and it pisses him off every time.
Something’s very off about that man… Looks like Gi-hun’s the only one who sees it.

At that time, while In-ho bathed him and put him to sleep next to him, Jun ho had learned that no matter how angry, out of control and out of his mind his hyung might get, if tears flowed from his eyes, In ho would go back to being just his hyung. Concerned, loving, ready to give him love, attention and protection.
For weeks after the incident, Jun ho blamed himself for the shock he felt when the Frontman revealed himself to be In-ho, because it prevented any tears from forming in time. If only he could....
But no. He was wrong.
For now, even with the lonely tears streaming down his cheeks at seeing his brother like that, he didn't stop.
The beast was not his hyung again.

In-ho was supposed to be dead, betrayed by his clients after the success of the rebellion. But Gi-hun held a wicked secret, for In-ho survived, and what was left of that man was now willingly following Gi-hun. A beast that needs its keeper

“It wouldn’t change anything, I promise you from our original plan to this nothing changes. We just need to take this chance Woo-Seok.” Jun-Ho said as he let Woo-Seok’s name slip from his lips instead of the usual Choi.Woo-Seok only looked at him a bit uneasy, his clear hesitation pushing Jun-Ho off. “Are you sure Hwang? We have a higher chance of losing.” He mumbled as Jun-Ho only bit his cheek.
“This will get us on the island, closer to where the games are. I’ve been there before and it’s something…but if we’re put on that island we have a better chance of stopping those games like Mr. Seong wanted.” He stated as Woo-Seok sighed his defensive dropping.
He slowly nodded and extended his hand to let Jun-Ho hand him the card, as he looked at it with uncertainty, “Ok. I trust you Hwang.” He said smiling weakly as he lifted the card to himself.
Woo-Seok then yawned and stretched before dropping his arms, “I’ll call tonight, but I swear to god if you’re not on that island with me I will personally kill you.” He noted with a pointed look as Jun-Ho nodded with a light smile.
