He mirrored the motion, almost impatient, his eyes burning into mine. "Say it," he pressed softly but insistently, his voice a command wrapped in silk.
My throat tightened, but the word came, fragile and certain all at once. "No."
Sebastian repeated it back to me, his voice a low murmur, almost reverent. "No..." The word lingered between us as his hand rose, fingers brushing against my cheek with a tenderness that contrasted sharply with the darkness he had just confessed to.
