Klaus stopped rubbing at his eyes and looked at Diego with a bit of fright in his eyes. Ben reached over to quickly squeeze his hand then pulled back.
“Gotcha.” Lila said, her eyes also wide. She turned to Allison. “Why haven’t we heard about any missions in the last four years?”
Five was the one who answered the question. “Because the umbrella academy stopped on the 10th of November 2020.”
Dave turned around to face Five in shock. “What the fuck do you mean by ‘stopped’?”
“He means, we got so beaten, that Dad put a stop to our missions.”

Four “ran away” according to their Father. And no one saw him again. Then Ben and Diego get roomed with the mysterious Klaus “Becker”, who may have more to hide then it looks.

Of course, he knew his siblings hated the training they went through, it is exhausting, brutal, and over-extensive. At least, that’s what they claimed it was. Luther knew that it was for the best, especially since Dad said so. He wasn’t smart book-wise (he knew as such), but he did know Dad was. And if Dad thought it was smart, he thought it was smart. Was there ever any reason to doubt him?
Luther's training is today, and once again, he dreads it. But he goes, even if he'll regret it.

The Umbrella Academy if they were living in the MCU, with MCU's modern technology and the kids' powers deriving from the infinity stones. Vanya gets access to a computer and does her own research, and sets off to learn the Mystic Arts to bring her brother back home. Meanwhile Five picks up a job and deals with too many apocalypses. Ben has aspirations beyond being the only person in his family with any EQ, and Klaus finds teenage rebellion as his new vice.
AKA
this is the fic where the Umbrella Academy exists within the MCU, Vanya gets access to the Ancient One and the Time Stone, and resolves to bring her brother home. A lot of settings are changed, i.e., the kids powers explicitly draws from the infinity stones, the Commission is an evil corporation and Five is starting a one man French revolution against his bosses. Everyone is both badass and useless, as per the laws of both MCU and TUA.
