Summary
They haven’t even been deployed for a month when they get new orders, new regulations, and suddenly the chain of command gets turned on its head.
It wasn’t supposed to work like that. The Jedi were supposed to be the ones doing the planning and the leading, but after the first few battles it became very obvious that none of them knew what they were doing. Half the Senate panicked and wanted to start negotiations with the Separatists. The other half did not, and somehow that led to both sides deciding that the lesser evil was declaring the clones were actually pretty competent at the thing they’ve literally been made for.
Cody probably got lucky with his Jedi; it doesn’t complain or try to outmaneuver him and it’s actually quite helpful. If it was a brother he’d be fond of it.
Or,
The clones were (wrongly) taught that the Jedi are immortal eldritch beings devoid of personhood, the Jedi are enslaved by the Republic within a few weeks of the war starting, and nobody knows how to ask the right questions until it's almost too late.
Cody's inability to interact with people without making spreadsheets to analyze their behavior saves the galaxy.

Summary
Nearing the age when most initiates find their way to the Jedi Corps, Obi-Wan struggles. Summary
For two months, Obeena-Wan Kenobi of the Jedi Order has been missing, trading herself for the safety of her former Padawan in an encounter with known Sith Count Dooku. Those with bonds to her in the Force know that she is alive, but there is little else. The war has ground to a halt. Then, a galaxy wide broadcast begins, originating in Seperatist space.
Master Kenobi has reached a type of truce with Darth Tyranus. In exchange for a full ceasefire and return to peaceful negotiations, she will allow every memory she has to be put on display, all in the name of showing people the truth of the Jedi order.

There will be some tension or small problems, but only to drive the plot and set up cool situations.

Summary
She stands straight-backed in the Jedi pod in the Senate, arms loose by her side. Yoda is at the front, with Luminara and Fox at either side. Plo stands just behind and slightly to the side of Fox, as the curved side allows, and the other three vod’e are standing in formation in the space left. Barriss has taken up her position by the entrance to the pod.
The way they have arranged themselves is drawing whispers and stares from the senator, for some reason. It’s the most logical arrangement; Yoda was the one summoned and the former Head of the Order, Luminara is well-known as a negotiator, though not to the extent that Obi-Wan is, and Fox is the most politically-minded of all the vod’e on Coruscant. Which is to say, he’s almost as scary as the Chancellor was for deviousness.
Barriss herself is not bad at negotiations thanks to her Master’s training, but she prefers the cold logic of field command or missions. So she will stand lookout and guard against any surprises. There shouldn’t be any immediate danger, but the former Chancellor had turned out to be a Sith Lord.
