PHANTOM THIEVES ARE SO OVER! (NOT CLICKBAIT!) (COPS CALLED!!!)
This is the Japan side of Act 17, following Akira Kurusu's perspective. And what a perspective it is! Akira and his friends just witnessed the Midnight Channel, and what they saw was terrifying: Mishima's own Shadow plans to kill Mishima in twenty-four hours!
Do or die, it's time for the Phantom Thieves to act. With the help of some Inaba locals, the group will have to sniff out the location where Mishima is being held within the TV World in order to stage a daring rescue. They know that they will have to infiltrate a cognitive space belonging to Mishima's Shadow. What they don't know, however, is what's in store for them within that mindscape.
Though it may not quite qualify as a Palace, it will still be a reflection of the subconscious of the admin of the Phan-Site. Just how does Mishima view his situation in the world? And more importantly, will he be able to accept his other self?

After Ryuji has his leg broken by Kamoshida, Yuuki tries to cheer his friend up, serving as the only source of emotional support that he needs so much.
With the Phantom Thieves giving Ryuji something else to strive for, while part of Yuuki is relieved, a small, selfish one—which he desperately tried to keep hidden—starts to grow stronger, to the point that not only Ryuji, but Yuuki himself starts to realize that something is really wrong.

But for some reason, he still feels an emptiness, he feels the guilt and shame of letting himself get so hungry for fame, even though Akira himself said it was fine. But....
Why does he not feel relief? Why does he still think he hasn't changed? Why does he feel so stupid? Why does no one want him around? Why couldn't he stop crying? When did he start feeling disgusted with himself? When did the world started to feel like it wants him gone? And lastly....
