"I'm hallucinating now," Damian muttered to himself, as the boy stared at him, uncertainly, "Mhm, pretty sure I'm not a hallucination."
"That's what a hallucination would say, Richard," he said, knowing he sounded petulant. Whatever the Galra had given him to keep him quiet, it was stronger than many of the drugs he had become accustomed to during his training with the League of Assassins.
It was only for this reason that he risked falling forward. Fortunately for him, he was promptly grabbed by the boy. It was a strong, solid grip, and definitely not a hallucination.
Damian looked up, meeting eyes that reminded him of a dead man, and the other said, "You confused me with another person. My name is not Richard. It's Lance."
(During his imprisonment on an alien ship, after sacrificing himself to save Earth, Damian meets a boy who reminds him terribly of his dead brother. He can't be who he believes, but the resemblance is striking, and Damian just wants to believe that something left by Dick Grayson still exists.)

Summary
After Shiro's disappearance, the paladins struggle to go on and continue fighting against the Galra Empire, they switch lions with Keith as their leader and try to be whole again, but nobody knows exactly where to go from there, how to search for their lost friend, and each of them deals with the loss in their own way.
Meanwhile, Lance battles his insecurities and loneliness and tries to find what he contributes to the team, wishing to have something that made him special like his teammates. But on a rescue mission to a barren planet, they find someone they didn't expect, and when a fight ensues, Lance gets more than he bargained for when he gains something that settles a new path in front of him.
Maybe he should have been more careful with what he wished for.
"This is the thirteenth time already, I can't keep doing this, I'm going mad, I can't stop it, I can't save you!" Lance cried, full out sobbing in the darkness of his room, it was hopeless, he was stuck and nobody could help him, no matter what he did, it was always the same, and he knew he was slowly spiraling into insanity, and the worst part? He couldn't tell anyone, even if he wanted to, he'd tried, he'd nearly choked, he never felt so alone.

“And now, I present to you...” Matt pulls the tarp sharply, tossing it aside dramatically to reveal an invention made up of several very recognizable things from Shiro’s kitchen welded together into what looks like a metal spit. There’s a large basin smack-dab in the middle, and he tries not to pay much mind to the fact that he can definitely spot a few spare parts he’d left lying around the garage for his motorcycle crafted into the device.
Keeping his voice flat, Shiro inquires, “Is that a turkey fryer?”

Summary
Three years after saving the universe and getting his happy ending, Keith still hasn’t gotten any better. Despite promising Lance that he’d open up eventually, he wasn’t able to break patterns of avoidance that had their relationship hitting a brick wall, and the final straw was accidentally saying Shiro’s name during sex.
So they’re on a break. In his desperation to fix things with Lance, Keith asks Matt to help him get over his unwanted sexual fixation on Shiro through any means necessary. Armed with a mad scientist ego and Lance’s enthusiastic permission, Matt uses talk therapy and BDSM to help Keith unpack his emotional dysregulation and attachment issues, while in turn teaching Lance to Dom Keith and fulfill some repressed kinks.
But the war has had its toll on everyone. Matt and Shiro are having their own relationship problems, and Lance isn't doing too hot either. It’s up to all four of them to learn how to grow and communicate before their attempts at triage do more harm than good.

Keith groans and slides out of bed, how much did he drink last night?
“Goddamnit, what time is it?”
“Nine, you have a meeting with the realtor today, right?”
“Wait- what- fuck, what time is it?”
“Nine,” Shiro repeats with a sigh and chuckles before walking away from the door. Keith pulls on some clean jeans, a black shirt and his flannel. He quickly makes his way across the guest room and to the bathroom. He brushes his teeth, his hair and puts on deodorant. On the way across the apartment to the kitchen, he tugs on his gloves.
“Mornin’.” He mumbles as he pours himself a cup of coffee.
“Morning… So, how long do you plan on staying this time?” There’s a bite to Shiro’s words. His hair has gone completely white in the front, a small tuft right in between his eyebrows. Last time Keith had saw him, it was a grey mass- but it was paired with the scar across the bridge of his nose and a new prosthetic, maybe Keith had been gone longer than he thought.

The house was far too quiet, Keith was never that quiet even if he was light on his feet. During the entire day, he noticed Keith’s stuff missing, he had tried calling and none of his calls had gone through, none of his messages were answered. He was left, alone. He was abandoned by the one person he thought would never leave him.
Lance had gone to Hunk, Lotor, and Allura. They were his best friends in college, he had sobbed in their arms about what had happened, he screamed and had panic attack after panic attack. But they were there, all three of them were there and they had never left. Lance was sure if anyone were going to stay by his side, it’d be them.
About three weeks had passed before he had gone to a doctor after a really bad stomach aches . He thought it was all the stress, and him being upset at the time. Boy was he wrong… Lance was pregnant. He was pregnant with Keith’s baby, and Keith had just abandoned him.

another post season 8 fix it kinda rewrite of some actual events that occured in Voltron;
except its Shiro's Wedding and the team travelled to celebrate it a whole year and a half after they saved the universe. They are all engaged in their own lives while also wanting to show up and help make Shiro's wedding day the most perfect it can be.
