W końcu nastał ten dzień, którego tak wyczekiwał Louis, coś na co czekał, odkąd skończył ledwo 14 lat, coś co w sumie utrzymywało go trochę przy życiu dając nadzieję. Spakował dwie torby, mówił każdemu, że “jedzie na wakacje” daleko, z zaoszczędzonych przez lata pieniędzy, które zarobił ciężko z różnych prac dorywczych przez ostatnie 5 lat swojego życia. Spakował wszystko do swojego auta i zaczął podróż na zachód Europy, do Barcelony, w końcu to nie może być taka długa podróż, czyż nie? Będzie spał w jakiś motelach, ma dodatkowe pieniądze przy sobie to nie mógł być problem. Problem dopiero się zaczął, gdy wyjechał z rodzinnego Poznania i po krótkim czasie spotkał na swojej drodze rówieśnika, autostopowicza; Dawida, no cóż, mógł mieć jedynie nadzieję, że to nie przeszkodzi mu w realizacji marzeń i szybkiej jeździe, racja?
