Viktor, fascinated by Jayce´s scientific prowess, wishes to actually make Piltover a better place without Hextech with Jayce´s assistance. Viktor helps Jayce go through the consequences of his possession of the crystals and learning to adjust to his (and later their) life in Zaun.

Devas: an organization of people who fight the Oni and protect civilians.Yuuri was just trying to help, to warn someone about the massacre that was going to happen to the Devas. But he was too late and now he and Victor were pulled into the middle of a fight that has been building for years. It's okay, though. Yuuri still wanted to help. He'd trained himself with his cores to be able to help. He was going to help stop the Oni that had caused so many people so much pain so he could go back to his life and feel good about it. Victor will stay by his side and watch over him so he's sure he'll be fine.
Takes place immediately after Attack of the Oni: Dream of the Reaper (Part 8 of the series). You don't absolutely need to read the rest of the works in the series to understand what happens in the fic, but that one-shot is at least useful to have read.
The story will feature characters from all other fandoms in the series, but the focus will not change from Yuuri and Victor. It will only be told through their perspectives.

“Every time you point out a building you think you can recognize, it makes me feel like I’m seeing my hometown through new eyes,” Yuuri said, sounding shy. “The city’s been offering hot air balloon rides since well before I was born, and I guess I took it for granted as something only brand new tourists would get anything out of. But now that we’re up here and I can see how excited you are by it all even after being here for a few months…it feels like a reminder to appreciate what’s in front of me.”
A loaded silence stretched out between them and Viktor could only blink a few times in astonishment as he tried his best to catalogue what such heartfelt words brought up for him.
In the moment, he was stunned at how relieved the admission made him feel; he knew, instinctively, that Yuuri had been enjoying himself during this outing, but even so, it soothed a deep-seated ache within him that wondered if his “oohing” and “aahing” over every little thing he could see was getting annoying.

“Oh, my! Are you alright?” Viktor urgently questioned, laying a hand on his shoulder while Yuuri tried to attend to his streaming nose.
His tone was genuine, but Yuuri knew him well enough by now to pick up on the glee at making him lose composure so early on in their role-playing. As he wiped his chin, he threw Viktor a dirty look, noting how he was trying not to laugh.
“I’m f-fine, Pantalaimon. My name is Lee, by the way,” Yuuri managed to choke out in between a few hoarse coughs. “Lee Scoresby. I was caught off-guard because for a second, I thought I saw someone I knew on the dancefloor.”
And because his nose was stinging pretty acutely, Yuuri decided to lean into his petty side.
“I thought I’d seen my ex, Chihoko,” he nonchalantly went on, now having to fight a grin at the betrayed look his husband shot him. “She had a very distinctively bend-y dance style, it was kind of unmistakable.”

Yuri grew up in Russia. He knew the ropes of hiding any and all things queer from public view by the age of five. That is also when he discovered that something queer was going on in him. He detested the labels thrown onto him. It made him itchy, uncomfortable.
Things only got worse whenever he grew older. His clothes never sat right on his skin, his face felt too soft, and his chest swelled with an unquenchable rage.
So, he decided to come out to his grandpa. Who supported him so fiercely that he helped Yuri transition without the public eye having a clue. His old self was apparently a “relative” that passed away, quite unfortunate. Yuri? He was there the whole time, just quiet you see.

He remembers one night, six months ago, when a fateful slip-up made him accidentally call his husband "babygirl" on a late-night Facetime... and, naturally, Viktor was there for it.
