Summary
Tim Drake is trying to pull himself into the whirlwind of work in order to avoid the questions that have started to form in his head, the ones he knows have been weighing on his mind since the day he took on the mantle of Robin. He doesn't know where he stands in his life, and he refuses to stand in place to look for the answer he is aware he might not find. Instead he chooses a case without a case: investigating Russian Mob activity in Gotham, or more the lack of it. In there he finds a bigger mystery. Zorya. A man he only intended to use for information, but the more time he spends with him, the more something makes him want to stay.

His hands are red and for a brief, split second moment Tim wonders if he should be checking for stab wounds—on Damian himself, or maybe some other poor unfortunate soul that got in the way of his little brother—before his mind catches up to the fact that Damian is rolling what looks to be ball after ball of red of cookie dough measured out to the exact gram.
“We’ll be fine without you, Timmy D.” Bernard reassures. He looks back over his shoulder, “We’ve been getting along great, right Dames?”
Batbrow arched high, Damian clicks his tongue. “I’ve been here since eleven.”

Clark Kent never considered himself a fearful person. Insecure, yes, a little shy? Definitely! But never fearful, and that's exactly why he didn't understand the absurd fear that gripped his entire being with the imminent future: his first Christmas with the Waynes.
It wasn't as if he didn't know them; in fact, he knew them all too well. However, this would be the first time he would spend Christmas with his fiancé, Bruce Wayne, and not with his parents in rural Kansas or with his ex-wife. And the Wayne children and all their entourage could be very intimidating and overprotective when they wanted to be. For this and many other reasons, Clark was completely panicked by the challenge of dealing with various cultures during the holidays, trying to be a cool future stepfather, and still making sure his family didn't feel abandoned. But he would have to succeed if he ever wanted to officially be Mr. Wayne.

The obvious result of Tim’s paranoia and Bernard’s conspiracism is a series of code words. Fairly standard practice for anyone in the cape community and probably detectable by anyone tearing down the capes themselves.
What makes Tim and Bernard so special is that they have a veritable language of code phrases, made up of the reality TV shows hate watched by one Stephanie Brown.
Tim memorized it as fast as they spun titles into meanings and Bernard stayed up all night until he could spit out that RuPaul’s Drag Race meant going undercover soon and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives meant low risk stake out scheduled.
Big Brother, Tim said. You’re being watched.
