The last thing Brian remembered seeing was Tim. He remembered the pain of his head cracking open and his spine breaking. He remembers dying. The first thing Brian woke up to was pain, he couldn’t feel anything below his waist. The tall faceless creature, who he’s been running from for the past few years, stares down at him. Brian wonders if he was brought back to just get killed again.
Tim fell on the stairs, he died covered in blood, and clutching onto Jay’s knife. Yet he woke back up inside a wooden cabin, his hand on fire, and the couch beneath him full of lumps. Also Brian is there, somehow they’re both alive.
Now glorified servants of a faceless being, Brian and Tim wished they were left dead.

Despite that, you were stuck living out your high school days in a town where nobody knew you, the real you.It was obsessive, to say the least, yet your hard work paid off in the end, and one small clue made it all easier to bring to the police.
However, it seemed that whenever someone came too close to cracking the case.

There weren’t many things that Toby could feel. Temperature didn’t exist. Pain didn’t exist, and consequently, neither did stinging, aching, burning, or cramping. Holding a jagged rock tightly? Just some pressure and maybe wetness from blood. Bumping into something? Just pressure. The many wounds he got while on missions? Pressure when they happened, some pulling, but that’s it. No sharpness when he cleaned out wounds. No ache when he pressed on week old bruises. No cramping when he forgets to eat for days at a time. No burn when he was sprinting after someone. But he could feel mental pain, so to say.
