Summary
On an island, in the small kingdom of Niada, a prince was born. He came into this world at night with full lungs and a tuft of white, blond hair.
Once the first squall of the babe was heard, a man was sent out by horse to the nearest village. He would then choose a boy fitting of his own station to be raised up with this new prince. It was a duty that had been performed for a hundred years and they would continue the tradition of the land. For the boy would be a friend, a brother, and advisor to the future king as long as he lived.
Two fates were forever changed that day, the babe who would soon be baptized as Christian Alexander Gregory Winthorp, Prince of Niada and little Thomas Belfort who had just turned six.
