When princesses-in-training and prized pupils of Princess Celestia, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle, are out on a mission to provide miracles to their future subjects, Rarity is attacked in an ambush by a strange unicorn. She is saved by an unfamiliar face, Applejack, who helped Rarity escape the attack in order to get a miracle of her own.
When Applejack is mistaken to be the culprit of the attack, Princess Celestia orders for her to be executed. Rarity, who promised Applejack she would see her miracle through, comes up with a plan to help Applejack avoid death in exchange for saving her own life.
The two set out and embark on an adventure unlike any they've ever had before, but it seems something malicious is brewing behind the scenes.
