The criss-cross lines of scar tissues and metal plates that replaced skin left almost no completely unmarked skin on his body. Anyone who saw it would've immediately figured out that he wasn’t human. No human could survive that. So again, here Vash was.... again..... treating a wound that was so gracefully plunged into his body by someone he was trying to help.
