    Siren snorted. “No. I’m just here to order some food.”

    “Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”

    “I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”

    “Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”

    or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

    “I need your help to kill a vampire,” He mumbles under his breath, his chest rapidly taking in air as his heart pounds in his chest, “Alright? There. Now let me go.”

    Techno hums, his hands slowly unwrapping from around his neck, though one lingers. He pushes his chin up with one hand, trialing a finger down his neck with the other. Tommy shivers at the touch, being reminded that the guy in front of him is a fucking vampire.

    “Who, little witch?” He croons, goosebumps running up along his arms as Techno stops at his pulse point, no doubt feeling how fast his heart was beating.

    Or Tommy is a lonely witch that falls right into the hands of three waiting vampires.

    When Scar was a child, seeing the strings had felt like a blessing.

    He’d still been full of wonder, young and not yet burdened by the heartbreak of the world. It’d been marvellous to grow up like that, surrounded by dazzling bursts of colour. He’d been an easily amused baby, and Scar can only assume that he saw the colours even then, entertained by their shifting nature. Shades of purple, orange, yellow, blue, green, black, brown, and red everywhere he looked.

    Of course, now seeing the strings is less of a blessing, and more of a...

    Well, a lucrative business practice.
