He gave the other a confused glance, "A ring?" he asked to which the demon corrected, "A promise ring." lucifer could feel his heart skip a beat as alastor asked for his hand.
"May I?" the king nodded, extending his hand that was soon met with the warmth of the sinners. He slid the ring into place with precision, and it was a perfect fit. Only then did Lucifer notice the small duck engraving on the metal. Alastor brought the hand to his lips and gave a small peck. The king could hardly contain himself. "I promise to never again leave your side, till the day I perish."

Summary
Lucifer Morningstar has been known by many names throughout his very long life. The Lightbringer, Star of Morning, Father of Sin, and Most Hated Being in All of Creation to name a few. These days, he’s hoping to claim the title of Hell’s Greatest Dad, which is an accomplishment easier said than done. Enter one arrogant and conniving Radio Demon and life suddenly takes a turn for the worst. But hey, what’s a little misery to the King of Hell.

Lucifer could think of a million-and-one reasons to distrust Alastor, but if there’s ever a lesson that the universe is happy to teach him time and time again, it’s that mortals have a peculiar habit of being so much more than they seem. Suddenly, those million-and-one reasons don’t seem to hold much weight, especially when revelations lead to him needing to rely on the one sinner who makes his life a living hell.
