Summary
Alex, who Morgan had never spoken a word to, looked dreadfully bored as he fought their brother. Something in his body language told Morgan that he was holding back, and it ignited a fury in their chest. Morgan was dying, Chad was losing his older sibling, and The Fairness Association was losing one of their most dedicated sidekicks, and this guy didn’t care.
In their delirious state, Morgan used what little energy they had to flip Alex off. For the first time since Chad’s powers had been discovered, they didn’t care about the rules that their parents made them follow. They didn’t care about the Fairness Association’s stupid ‘Keep it PG’ rule, they could honestly shove it. Morgan hadn’t had control over their life or death, but they could take back just a little bit of their last moments.

Sterling was quiet. It was the first thing Blair noticed about the girl a week ago, when she had first come to live with them. When Daddy had said they needed to talk about something, Blair had been nervous that her parents were going to make her get a job after accidentally totaling the truck a month prior. It wasn’t her fault that Hannah B was in the hospital after a handstand gone wrong! Blair was being considerate by texting to check up on her; a lot of good that did her. Before they told her she was getting a ‘sister’, it was the worst thing she could imagine.
Apparently Sterling’s mom was one feather loose of a flock, and the teenager needed somewhere to stay after the woman got arrested. Because of some distant relation her parents refused to get into, it fell on the Wesleys to take in the discarded girl. To Blair it sounded like bullshit, but when she shared her opinion her parents made it clear that she didn't have any say in the matter.

Enid shrugged, trying to stay calm, “It’s only been a few minutes, there’s nothing he could have done in three minutes.”
Because the universe loved to spite them, as soon as the words left Enid’s mouth there was a blood curdling scream from a few halls over. The girls ran as fast as they could to see what had happened.
Even Wednesday felt uncomfortable looking at the brutalized and mangled body in the room. The heart had been seemingly torn out from the chest, blood spatter covering the room and floor around them. The siren who had found the body was shaking.
Turning to Enid, Wednesday grabbed her arm, “We need to find Tyler. Now.” She nodded and the two ran out of the room.
Just as they were getting to the deserted stairwell, Wednesday knocked full force into Tyler, sending him to the floor. He was covered in blood.
“I swear this isn’t what it looks like.”
