Summary
Since the fire truck bombing, Buck was told he wouldn’t be able to go back to being a firefighter. So he did what he thought was the next best thing and became a trauma surgeon. But when a new person replaces him, will he get over it easily or does he become jealous of the new Brunette. While he is trying to get over it and become friends with the new comer; does something from his past of being a firefighter comes chasing back after him again.

after marjan leaves the 126, she goes on an odyssey across the country, trying to figure out her next step. not wanting her friends to think she's unsure and a little lost, she starts being honest with eddie, a near stranger in a different state who she's only met in person once - one who has a surprising amount in common with her, and a friendship begins to form...

ediaz: hey I’m not on here a lot but I saw you quit the 126? not that your travel pics don’t look great, they look really fun but…i’ve had some experience with abruptly leaving being a firefighter, leaving my station, since we met and I’ve since learned there’s usually a lot underlying a decision like that. and can be hard to talk about with friends who know you too well. so if you wanted someone to talk to about it that doesn’t know you that well, I’m here, I guess?

ediaz: not that I’m trying to invade your privacy, I know we’re not exactly friends. Just trying to pay it forward, or something like that. I don’t know. My friend says I’m too old to know social media etiquette so if this is weird just ignore it, sorry.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Tommy was as dangerous as a teenager can get. His power was “molecular combustion”. Essentially, he was able to make molecules in objects speed up to the point that they exploded. Every single time he’d used his power, it’d usually have been by accident. He never wanted to blow things up, he was just cursed with it.
That’s why he’d been recruited to be a hero. It was to protect him from himself.
