    It's like the Japanese art of Kintsugi. A beautiful piece of pottery breaks and they mend it lacquer mixed with powdered gold. Still broken, but the repair emphasizes the imperfections, the history, that the piece appears even more beautiful.

    Inspired by WritersBlock039 and her story 'Danger Zone'. Go read-it's awesome. My actual knowledge of firehouses, police procedure etc. is of the fanfic variety. ~Kinda~ follows canon.
