Summary
Jeongguk wakes up to a series of messages ringing through on his phone, one after another, so many that he can’t just ignore them and keep sleeping. They’re from the guy who lives in the dorm room next door.
[Hey, man.]
[There’s a weird guy sleeping outside your door. Thought you’d wanna know. He’s hung up a bunch of strange paintings.]
[You might wanna sort that out before one of the security guards sees. Also I don’t know what he’s been smoking, but the hallway smells really strong like herbs.]

Jeongguk sits bolt upright in his bed when he sees the photo of Jimin curled up asleep in front of his door. He looks like he’s been busy, sheets of paper surrounding him covered in symbols and scrawled in ink.
“Jimin what the hell?!”
He flops back down on his bed with a groan, throwing an arm over his face.
It is way too early for this.

Five-year-old Jungkook didn’t ever want to give his mommy’s precious ring to anyone in the world. But he didn’t want to upset her either. So he replied, “Only if they are bright like the sun.”
Hearing her amused laughter at his answer, he carried on. “And prettier than the moon and all the stars!”
Her laughter grew and grew, only to faint into painful coughs a moment after. Jungkook felt guilty for causing them, but didn’t know what to do to make it better. So he just watched and waited.
After a few slow breaths, she commented, “I’m certain your celestial omega will be all of that and more, sunflower.”

Taehyung snorts. “I’m sure some people can fall out of love with their mates. But not Jeongguk. He still looks at you like you hung the damn Moon herself— and it’s only gotten worse since he got you pregnant. When you’re around, it’s like he doesn’t see anything else.”
Jimin thinks of the look on Jeongguk’s face when he walked out this morning, the weight of their silenced mating bond sitting in his chest like a black hole, and the scent of sea-salt and thunderstorms coming from another omega’s bed.
“Things change,” Jimin replies quietly. “I don’t even know if he’s coming back this time.”
