“Oh my god, Walker, please shut up.” Yelena said.
At the same time, Ava muttered a similar sentiment under her breath but with a more colourful use of language. Until now, Bucky had kept his head firmly down and remained deep in his thoughts. From the second they stepped out onto that stage, in front of the press, it seemed like he was in a state of shock. But he finally raised his eyes to shoot Walker a stormy look. Whichever one of their reactions was effective, it didn’t matter, because something successfully shut John up.
They rode for a few more minutes in silence. Then, Alexei cleared his throat.
“Walker is right.” He said.
Without lifting his head, Bucky murmured to nobody in particular: “That’s a first.”

“Did you ever think about having kids?” Sam asked.
He was watching Bucky fuss over Alpine, who was the most spoilt cat in the entire world. As if to protest the idea, Alpine climbed up his arm and settled protectively around her dad’s shoulders. The man himself looked contemplative.
“Not really.” Bucky said, finally.
That was the end of the conversation. But the seed had been planted in his mind and Bucky found himself thinking about kids more and more often. Did he want to be a dad? Certainly, he half-raised his younger sister, Rebecca. He liked playing with AJ and Cass at family cookouts. But that wasn’t the same as being a dad. Would he even be capable of being a father, after everything he had seen and done? After everything he’d been through? His PTSD was still bad and would be for years to come. What would that mean for a kid?

When Clark arrived at the office, running late again, Lois didn’t wait to slide her chair over to his desk. From the sparkle in her eye, he knew something was up.
“So, I have an assignment for you, rookie.” Lois said, as a way of greeting.
She had already been working at The Daily Planet when Clark was hired, so they had a running joke about her being his superior. Occasionally, it came up in the bedroom. Though, it was more commonly used as a way of teasing him at work, especially when they had been keeping their relationship under wraps.
“You know I have to talk to the mayor about the pipe.” Clark responded, already scribbling in the notepad he kept on his desk.
“This is a little more exciting than broken pipes.”

Confused, Bob blinked at him. He hadn’t expected the man to address him unless it was absolutely necessary, but there was nobody else in the room he could be speaking to. Also, he didn’t understand the question.
“What suitcase?” He said, following up immediately in case he sounded like an idiot: “I didn’t bring a suitcase.”
John stared at him as if he had announced he had flown here directly from Mars.
“This is a six-week programme.” He said, slowly, in case Bob didn’t understand, “There’s no way you managed to fit six weeks’ worth of clothes into that thing.”
Bob shrugged.

And stupidly hot in trauma lighting, which feels like a personal attack.Between trying not to pass out in the OR, dodging emotional breakdowns in the supply closet, and surviving his intern class: Peter overachieves yet always panics, Johnny keeps violating the dress code, Joaquin thinks he's on Grey’s Anatomy. Bob can confidently say that he has enough on his plate.
Now Bob’s spiraling through 36-hour shifts, surprise trauma cases, and an increasingly inconvenient crush, while his fellow interns bring nothing but chaos.
There’s no time for feelings in a hospital like this.
