Summary
“What’s wrong?” He asks as he sets the pizza on the table and takes a seat beside Steve on the couch.
“Hm? Oh, nothing. Just …”
“You’re trying to find BriLex smut aren’t you? Oh my god — you ARE!” Eddie says, cackling as he peeks at Steve's screen. “You can’t just GOOGLE it, man. Fuck sake! You might actually have socials and all, but holy hell you’re clueless.”
“Fuck off. There’s almost 40,000 of these things out there, according to you. And also according to you, it’s hot. So … yeah. I’m curious, okay?”
“Okay, okay. First off, you need an ao3 account to get full access. Some authors make their stuff available only to registered users. But hang on a sec — I have a few pulled up already on my iPad.” Eddie hands Steve a plate and a napkin before getting up to grab his iPad from the kitchen counter. “Grab yourself a slice — I’ll be right back.”
“What the fuck is ao3?” Steve calls out as he takes a slice of pizza and settles in on the couch.

Summary
Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington are idiots. Completely oblivious idiots, living their own individual oblivious lives, only vaguely aware of the other’s existence through their shared found family of raucous teens.
But there’s just something about that mystery guy Eddie hooked up with after a particularly successful Grindr date. And as for Steve? He’s got a new unknown suitor, courtesy of the miracle of modern technology, and one misdialed phone number.
They really are idiots.

Summary
“I’ll give you 50 fucking dollars if you suck my dick, right now.”
“Okay,” Eddie said.
“Okay. Wait, what?”
Eddie got down on his knees.
“Are you serious?”
“You got 50 bucks on you?”
“… Yeah.”
“Good,” Eddie said, and paused. “Because I swing both ways.”
(OR: Eddie comes to sell Steve weed and leaves with a lot more information about him than he had originally. Like, for instance, he’s not nearly as straight as he thinks he is.)

Summary
“You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t believe you, Harrington. Straight boys don’t get off thinking about dick. That’s an indisputable fact of the universe, and a key point in my own personal doctrine.”
And maybe Steve should laugh, shrug, call it a night. He should do that, re-examine all of this when he’s sober.
He doesn’t. Instead, he says, “Try me.”
Eddie lifts himself up on an elbow, turning to his side so that he’s looming over Steve when he says, “Just to confirm…”
Steve nods encouragingly, bolstered by the absence of a dismissive laugh, an awkward change of topic.
“You’re saying that you want me,” Eddie continues, eyes darting between Steve’s, “to talk about fucking a dude. To see if you get hard.”
—
Or; Steve’s pretty sure he could get hard while thinking about gay sex, even though he’s straight. Eddie’s just along for the ride.

Summary
Eddie leans in, his face drawing closer to Steve’s. His eye catches the faint silver glint of Eddie’s rings where they rest against his skin. And for a split second, Steve’s mind short-circuits. He thinks Eddie is going to kiss him.
So why does he lean in, too?
Steve barely registers what he’s doing until his nose brushes the side of Eddie’s cheek, warm and slightly tacky from sweat. His skin tingles with the contact, the tension between them tightening like a drawn bowstring.
Then Eddie’s lips part—not to kiss, but to speak.
“Hey.” Eddie’s voice is temptingly husky as he tilts his head to whisper directly into Steve’s ear. The vibrations of his words send a shiver down Steve’s spine, and it takes everything in him not to react visibly. “After the set, what do you say we head back to our room?”
OR.
Eddie shows Steve how to loosen up on an underground rock club's dancefloor. There are better places to be stiff, after all.
