A collection of wartime fics. It describes a protracted fight. with the Order and the Death Eaters in a guerilla fight with each other. The story generally follows Draco and Hermione as informant and handler but chooses other POVs on occasion. Notably, Molly Weasley, who is portrayed like an actual human being.
It has a lot of the good stuff, war logistics, new magical inventions, research and development. I'm a real sucker for stories that extend the magical universe of Harry Potter.
I am hoping for more installments.

A realistic telling of a love developing between two adults. Also a reminder of how spiteful -- I know, I know, spiteful isn't quite the right work -- some people can be. In fact, it depicts all of its characters with if not benevolent empathy at least an understanding of their humanity.
The prose is a delight.

Very sweet. You'd think that Harry and gang would have better sense than to drop Hermione off in Draco's care.
A thought that comes to me on occasion when I read fics is that we often portray Draco as if the war hasn't changed him. But what if his sense of self-preservation is out-competed by cruelty and pettiness? This story would have gone much differently.
Luckily, the author didn't go there!
