For the record, Michael Reeves is not a raccoon. He isn't! He has completely human ears that are most definitely real, he has very normal fingernails that are in no way related to his long purchase history of fake nails online, and he does not have a tail stuffed down his pants. He doesn't.
So maybe he can't sleep at night sometimes (but everyone has the occasional sleepless night), and maybe his nose twitches whenever he's trying to scent something (it's not his fault he has a sensitive nose), and maybe he likes running around on fours and rubbing his cheek on his things and digging through the trash and- alright, so maybe he is a raccoon. But it's not like he can just admit that to the greater human population.
Or, 5 times Michael gets away with hiding his secret and the 1 time he doesn't.

Shouto laughs. “That’s my old favorite theory! We’re here to talk about my new one: the seven and a half ghosts haunting one of U.A.’s hero students.”
Izuku sweats. He tugs at his collar. “What an…oddly specific number of ghosts.”
“One of them keeps blinking in and out of existence,” Shouto says. “That’s the one who looks sorta like your dad—I mean, All Might.”
Izuku laughs nervously. “But ghosts don’t exist!” Behind him, his shadow starts to twitch, sprouting and vanishing several extra limbs.
“That’s what we’re going to prove or disprove to the internet.” Shouto turns to address the camera. “Today, we’ll investigate the haunting of Hitoshi Shinsou.”
“I’m not—uh, who’s haunted?” Izuku asks. His shadow slaps its forehead.

As soon as Snipe opened the door to the guidance counselor’s office, Hound Dog asked, “Is this about Izuku Midoriya?”
“Yes,” Snipe admitted.
Hound Dog shook his mane. “All of the other teachers have been here already. I’m sorry, I can’t help you. That kid doesn’t need a guidance counselor—he needs an exorcist.”
