Albedo finds a boy frozen at the bottom of the lake in Dragonspine. With the help of Albedo, Sucrose and Barbara, he survives. But he can no longer speak, and he can no longer cry. He smiles, but everyone knows that he's missing something, burying away memories of incidents too painful to acknowledge, and running from a scary truth unravelling in Teyvat. Stubbornly refusing to return, he settles down in Mondstadt to live a quiet life with his new friends.

Since childhood, Kaeya has been fascinated by Dragonspine. Monsters and curses fuel the legends surrounding this mountain, feared by all the inhabitants. Despite his dream of being the first to uncover all its hidden secrets, Kaeya is content to gaze at the mountain from afar. Until the day he meets an alchemist who claims to live in these mountains. This encounter, at the crossroads of eternal snow and the wind of the plains, marks a new turning point for Kaeya.

-Now that you mention it... People here are afraid of the mountains. They tell all sorts of legends about dragons and curses. Ghost stories to scare children! But children grow up and still carry that fear deep inside them. Almost no one tries to learn about this mountain, except for a few adventurers.
It doesn't seem to scare you that much, am I wrong? You even seem surprisingly intrigued by it.Or Kaeya fulfils all his dreams, but realises too late that they come at a price.

As for Albedo, his beginnings were quite different. Full of pain, misery & loneliness. When he arrives in Mondstadt & meets Kaeya for the first time. He grows aware of a new feeling - Irritated.
This so called Captain will stop at nothing until the two of them are friends - Oh how tiring!Though as they spend more time together as they grow up, their feelings turn into something different all together...
A series of non-linear one shot Kaebedo drabbles. Mostly fluff, some angst. Will focus on mostly Kaeya & Albedo during their lives in Mondstadt but other characters will appear. This is mostly Kaeya and Albedo pining for each other. I must warn you I take the 'Slow Burn' tag very seriously! Mostly set before current events in the game & the events in the webtoon.

Albedo is not ready to face his master after all these years and so he takes up an assignment that is miles below his league in order to cope with it. But he needs an assistant, a butler and a bodyguard at the same time. Someone strong enough to take care of him against monsters and treasure hoarders but still sharp enough keep up with his experimental needs at all time.
However the only person capable of such a daunting service and willing to go with him, is a mysterious drunk stranger who accepts his commission posted in front of the Angel's Share tavern without any questions asked.Albedo is not a man easily distracted and yet, this man with his sly smiles and smooth remarks, test's his will like no other. He is clearly overqualified for the job and Albedo knows he should be cautious about his behavior.
...and yet he agrees to him anyways.
