As the weather was getting warmer and the trees had sprouted their first leaves, Mondstadt’s nature was coming to life, and so were Kaeya’s recurring nightmares. Three years in a row, Kaeya could not get rid of those dreams about his adoptive father’s passing and the events that followed it. How he had felt that sense of relief at first, only to get crushed by the guilt of the feeling. The guilt of being a liar, of not being there in time, and the guilt of how he made Diluc feel that evening after spilling the truth to him. This year, however, was extra difficult with Diluc’s presence back in Mondstadt. So much so that his well-crafted facade was starting to crack, making the Chief Alchemist even more curious about what lies behind that charming mask.

Varka lifts an eyebrow. “You didn’t even know Rosa was my daughter before this conversation,” he says lightheartedly. “I appreciate the sentiment, Albedo, but how could you possibly know that?”
“Because I miss Klee now. And she misses Miss Alice all the time.” Albedo speaks in his usual monotonous voice, but something about his expression indicates how foolish he thinks Varka’s question is. “Because you are their family, and you aren’t around right now. Of course they miss you.”

Kaeya was supposed to go with Klee, as a princess and a knight. The costume designer seemed to have misunderstood who was going to be the princess and knight though, judging by the wrongly sized costumes.
