An alternate universe in which the countries have the ability to transform into a “guardian form” in times of need. Each of the forms are derived from their own (NATIVE) mythology. (Chinas a dragon, Scotlands a unicorn, etc)
It’s theorised that the stories from their myths were indeed true, and were the countries in these forms.
All The countries haven’t needed to transform for a good long while (or they haven’t wanted to). But they may need to when something breaks loose.

When Jose realized that he was trapped forever in Oletus manor, it sent him spiraling further then he already was. His life went to shit and now he had no life at all. The Officer gave up the idea of finding, or even wanting to be with his soulmate years ago. The last thing he wanted was a soulmate to see him when he was at his worst.
When Kevin figured out (later then he should have) that his soulmate was in the manor with him, it made him nervous. He knew he had a soulmate, but it was something he never thought of, his life as a vagabond taking priority in his mind. Life long love was something he wanted more than anything but it was sectioned away for his sleep and never the day, he could barely hold a friendship for long let alone a lover. Maybe this will be a much welcomed change to that. He would love whoever the mystery survivor was and his soulmate would love him back. Kevin would have a love he only ever dreamed of.
