Niki held her uniform in her hand, the pale blue fabric only hardened her resolve. She was the last to take it off. Niki knows what she took it out to do, burning makes for good closure, but she can’t seem to move. Niki just…stands there. Staring at it.
Her eyes land on the collection of poems she borrowed from Techno, both are titled Ozymandias. Horace Smith, the lesser known author compared to Percy Bysshe Shelley, speaks to her more.

“Let me know if it hurts,” Niki reminds him softly, carefully using a pair of pliers (Jack isn’t sure why he remembers the name of those ones) to remove the bolt.
“It doesn’t,” He assures with a shake of his head. “I can’t really feel pain, remember, Niki?”
Niki chuckles and shakes her head. “Yes, but I’m taking off your arm. It’s kind of strange on my part.”
“This is actually a classic family pastime among us Sheikah Tech,” Jack plays it up, grinning at his friend with eyes filled with Blue Fire.

“Okay, it’s gone,” Niki nods to Jack, before slipping towards the next tree. He follows after her a moment later, glancing towards the beast stalking through the fields. Niki sighs. Of course, the one thing that Jack didn’t understand was guardians. He always tried to approach them for some reason, and fortunately he’d never been spotted yet.
Unfortunately, Niki had to keep reminding him that they were dangerous, and were going to laser him if he didn’t hide.
