Pria itu menatap foto dengan senyuman simpul di wajahnya, “Kamu pasti benar-benar menyayanginya ya”. Gumamnya, seolah dapat merasakan emosi yang terpancar dari foto tersebut.
“Dia bukan hanya temanku..” Eiji akhirnya mengakui.
“Ash orang yang sangat berbeda, dari tiap orang yang pernah aku temui. Dan hidup yang aku miliki saat ini, jauh lebih berarti sebab dia pernah ada di dalamnya”. Eiji menundukkan kepalanya, mencoba menyembunyikan mata yang mulai berkaca-kaca.
Pria itu menatap Eiji dalam diam sejenak sebelum melanjutkan, “Pameran ini, semua foto yang kamu pajang, apa.. Ini semacam bentuk penghormatan untuk Ash?”.
Eiji mengangguk pelan, lagi. Kali ini dengan senyum getir yang menghiasi bibirnya.
“Benar. Aku ingin mengabadikan setiap kenangan, terutama hal-hal yang dulu pernah aku janjikan pada Ash. Aku ingin menunjukkan padanya.. Meski ia tidak lagi disini, namun aku tetap melanjutkan hidup seperti yang dulu pernah di mintanya”.
