Yeah, I purposefully named the title like that. This is a cheesy fic after all.
A what-if for my main fic Gotham Reboot. If you already think Crane is too dark and possessive in the main fic… yeah, this one might really not be for you.
This takes place sometime after Chapter 43 — the whole “custody” battle between Gregory Snyde and Crane over Noa. But in this version, Noa just doesn’t listen to her daddy. Oh stupid stupid Noa.
She keeps secretly contacting her ex-boyfriend through the burner he gave, thinking she can still have something — maybe salvaging a friendship, maybe even rebuilding their sweet old relationship before he ever repents.
But instead of trying to be better, in this episode, Crane makes a choice. He decides to pull Noa fully into his darkness — making sure she can never leave him again. Making sure… no one, not even her father, can ever part them.

The two ultimately break up, but a call regarding Suowei's mother and a conversation with Cheng Yu changes everything.
I felt very inspired by the song 어제의 너 오늘의 나 by D.O. (English title: About Time) and decided it fit well with this particular part of their story. Yes, I cried while writing it. Like a lot.

With a one-week deadline, Robert pitches an idea. If the suit is too powerful for the Pulse, then there was only one solution: make the suit smaller. Armed with a new suit, Robert tackles Shroud's challenge head-on and with a greater risk of physical injury from the smaller suit.
But heroes get hurt. Robert is Mecha Man, more so now than ever.
And Robert won't let his team down again.
