Summary
From a young age, Virginia Turner was used to anything good that came into her life not staying for very long. First, it was her father, who decided to walk out on his family, then her mother decided to hit the road and chase after him, leaving Virginia to be sent to live with her worrisome aunt and uncle in the small town of Jerusalem’s Lot. Needless to say, she didn’t like getting too attached to anyone that she met.
But when Benjamin Mears made his appearance in Virginia’s life, she thought that maybe he would be the one good thing who would actually stick around in this godforsaken town. Until the accident that killed his parents took Ben away from her, too.
Years later, Virginia continues to work a dead-end job at the town’s small diner, where her childhood friend comes waltzing back into her life and asks for her help on his next book. However, she and Ben will quickly realize that the quiet Maine town they spent those short years together is no longer the same, for something sinister is lurking around the Lot, in which both Virginia and Ben are determined to stop it. And it just might be what brings them closer like before and more hell-bent on not losing each other again.

But when a stranger, one Mr Straker, offers him a job he seizes the chance to become a better person. Newly settled in Salem's Lot, he works tirelessly to help his boss, the days gentle and fulfilling, until one day a famous writer enters his shop, drawing Miles out of his self imposed exile and unknowingly into the cruel underbelly of the Lot.
The cross over fic no one asked for! I'll be releasing this in 5-7 parts of multiple chapters so forgive the delays!
