At the ripe age of five, Donatello had messed up. He messed up big time.
He’d made a gift for one of his three brothers. Not unusual. That gift had malfunctioned, been wrong, or simply ill-received. Also not unusual. But he’d been upset. Unusually upset.
He’d written an apology note, left it on his bed, and disappeared. He’d intended to come back after he’d learned what he was doing wrong. Why his many inventions and gifts weren’t good enough. He really had intended to come back eleven years ago.
Until he’d found his way to Big Mama, who had thought his inventions were good enough. She’d told him his gifts weren’t the problem, he was. Donatello wasn’t made to be loved, she’d said. But he was made to be useful. To be appreciated. That’s what he recalled of that day.
But Donnie can’t really remember anything from back. Though he never dwells on that. He has no reason to.

More stressed than usual. Although, there might be some hope for her. Donatello, the one who'd created that ingenious contraption for her, has held a special place in her mind since their first encounter. She plans to take him under her wing and work together, even if she needs to use force.
Can Donatello's family come to him before he's tethered to her forever, or will he willingly stay by her side?

Maybe he’s wrong for thinking about it, but he can’t get her voice out of his head, the strange almost made-up sounding words she used to describe his bug-busting machine, and yet she had sounded so. . Prideful? It may just be wishful thinking, but she called him a /genius/, a twinkle in her eyes that he thought may have actually been /genuine/. She’d appreciated his hard work, his dedication to his craft, the effort he’d put into his tech, and although her motives were. . /Less than ideal/, she still praised him. Made him feel worthy, made him feel /appreciated./
"Can't believe they had done such? Can't trust them? Perhaps can't. . /Stay/ with them?" He pushed, earning a pained whine as the vine constricted on the former's cracked, injured chest. "They have done nothing but hurt you, upset you, /use/ you. From what I've gathered, this has gone on for /years/. Perhaps you need a change in pace, a new life. . . I won't be like them. Come with me and become greater than this sorry husk of an abandoned warrior you are, truly live up to your full potential."

There are four kids that belong to Big Mama. They fight in the Battle Nexus and each works to support their mama's empire. But something isn't right. A strange sense of Deja-vu lives in every day, but none of Gladiola's family seems to be aware. And on top of it all, the turtles come across an old alchemist's notes.
i.e. the turtles are raised by Big Mama and everyone but Big Mama has a different name. Raph is Gladiola, Leo is Hyacinth, Donnie is Allium, and Mikey is Carnation. I don't have a solid plan for this but I've got vibes and a dream. And no, there is no redemption for Big Mama.

Raph and Mikey have been getting into fights with Splinter and neglecting their brothers because of their pent up anger, and splinter himself isn't any better.
What happens when one faithful day at Hueso's grants them the escape they needed, just not in the way they expected.
