No matter what timeline or future he saw. It was always the same end.
Corruption.
In his visions, when he can make sense of them, it always has the same repeating images.
Beasts ravaging the land, jam and cookie crumbs scattered like ashes, forks destroying the already barren ground. And in the middle of it all, the five Virtues, Corrupted beyond repair.
The thought terrified him. Seeing his friends and him destroying Earthbread wasn’t what they were baked for at all. It just couldn’t be true.
Yet, he always saw the same thing. A warning for what’s to come, and he had to stop it.
The future has yet to arrive, and the Fount will do everything in his power to ensure that the future in his visions doesn’t come true.

What they don't expect is being challenged by another group called the Ancients and a old school mate, elder faerie. Elder Faerie explains to the Ancients who the beasts were and who they are now but doesn't know what made such wonderful kids into terrible people. Can the Ancients find out? Can the Ancients and the Beast get along?

Capsaicin Cookie, Scovillia's best student, sent on his way to the Golden Cheese Kingdom to help with the oncoming onslaught of spices, only to be drawn towards destruction itself.
Prune Juice Cookie, a brilliant potion-maker on his way to find knowledge, only to be trapped within the walls of a place he is being forced to call home.

Burning Spice lifted his gaze. Shadow Milk’s voice was silk, yet rotten, as his arm reached out beyond them both, to the door.
“Would he seek your acceptance, even then? Would he seek you as a tutor?” Another psychotic giggle. “Would he want to be taken under the wings of a mass murderer—”
Burning Spice's hand snapped up to Shadow Milk’s wrist.
“You will not step foot anywhere within my son's proximity, or I will tear you apart, limb by limb.”
Silence dropped heavily on the room. All movements halted. The fog dissipated.
It took him a long, long second to realize the grave mistake he had made, as his eyes widened. At the same time, Shadow Milk’s fixed gaze on the door turned to him slowly.
Just as the other's mouth parted—
“Your…son.”
The words did not belong to Shadow Milk.
