    Summary

After a year of siege, the Trojan War is at its end, and nineteen-year-old Odysseus, captain of the Ithacan armies, is ready to go home. But Zeus commands him to slay one more foe: the infant Astyanax. Failure to do so carries a sentence of very possible death for everyone Odysseus loves.

He should take the easy way out. He should choose thousands of innocent lives over a single infant foe.

    He doesn't.
    ---------
Sixteen years after the siege of Troy, Astyanax of Ithaca has all he's ever wanted: a home, a lover, a life of privilege. But all of that hinges on the fact that almost no one in his kingdom knows who he truly is.

When Naxy's heritage is revealed, everything and everyone he loves are thrown into peril. Forced to compete for the hand of his lover Telemachus, it is all he can do to hope that he has what it takes to save the crown prince, and Ithaca herself, from the hand of the usurper Antinous.
    ---------
    Or:

A single, timeline-shattering choice sets off a cascade of destruction.

A stolen prince learns the lengths he'll go for love.

And a fallen king finally understands that only the brave choose mercy.

    Summary

After a few winters in Troy you would think Eurylochus has got this one under his belt.

The truth is, he is shattering.

He’s spent days keeping the men dry and the fires burning, convinced he can outrun the fever chilling his bones. But when his legs finally give out in a muddy pavilion, it’s Odysseus and Polites who have to pick up the pieces.

Because Eurylochus is right: there are no wives in war. But there are brothers.

    Or:
Our favorite idiots are stuck in a room together taking care of a sick man who has decided he is anything but sick.
With some wife angst for some extra flavor

    Summary

Odysseus remembers Penelope to keep himself alive. Eurylochus forgets Ctimene so he doesn't feel like he’s dying.

In the quiet of the Greek camp, the King of Ithaca demands the one thing his second-in-command cannot give: the truth. And Eurylochus is determined to keep the madness of his mind to himself.

    Or:

Eurylochus and Odysseus both cope with missing their wives differently. Polites has no wife and has to put up with their dramatics lovingly.

    Summary

You know something weird's happening when a god finds he cannot do something in relation to his domains.

I'm sure we all know the story by now: two people, betrayls, death and reunions.

In a world of gods and monsters, the most simple people are often the most tragic. This is the story of one of them: a soldier, friend, and perhaps most importantly, a brother who loves his messed up family so much he helps them even through Tanathos' veil.

    Summary

"Have you forgotten the lessons I taught you?"

    "Athena!"

"Have you also forgotten the fact that you're the Greek king of an island kingdom?"

    "I- What?"

"Stop getting into trouble for crying out loud and go fishing."

    Or;
What if somebody remembered they're all fucking Greek and went fishing instead of starting shit with the third most powerful god in Olympus?
A story where Athena was that somebody, she told Odysseus to fuck off away from that cave, they all went home, and Ody got to cry to his wife about Zeus making him kill a baby without another 10 years of torture to add to it.

    Summary

Maybe Penelope was too focused on her friend and Clytemnestra was too focused on her emotions, but none of them caught the redness of his eyes, the way Odysseus's hair was similarly disheveled like Clytemnestra's.

Maybe it was better that way...

    Summary

Odysseus is a woman, she spent ten years pretending to be a man for the war, and another ten trying to get back home to her wife. Everyone she's ever loved (and hated) will now know what's taken her so long to return to Ithaca.

She spent so long pretending she was a man that she still referes to herself as a man
Her eye colour changing is a thing so the colour will be mentioned a lot like an odd amount

This is NOT accurate to actual lore!!!

    Summary

Because I am sad that in the actual story, Eurylochus never makes it home to his own wife, I decided to make a universe where he does! Then I also decided to throw Polites into the mix because why not?

Following their victory in the Trojan War, it would seem that misfortune is determined to follow Odysseus and his men wherever they go, until eventually, after surviving multiple dangers, only to raise the anger of the gods and get the entire rest of the crew killed, Odysseus, Eurylochus and Polites find themselves stranded on Calypso's Island, with no way (and therefore no hope) of getting back home...up until around seven years later.

Calypso’s face softened, she tried to mirror his crooked smile. “Oh, well.” Red bloomed in her round face. “I am not jesting. I am pregnant with our child, Love.”

    “Kill it.”

    She stilled. “What?”

Odysseus was still grinning at her, the tears in his eyes made his gaze gleam like stars. “Kill it. Or should I do the deed?” His eyes widened as he nodded to himself. “I have killed a babe before. Hector’s lambkin. I shall do it again.” His chest was heaving with ragged breaths.

When Odysseus went to kill the suitors, he was only consumed by rage and bloodlust. Only feeling the type of ruthlessness that would make a god beg. When all was done, he got rid of every single body in the palace alone by hand. Only after that was done did he go to his wife.
And only after that was done did he realize he killed one too many men.
