Shane and Ilya had mutually agreed to keep their whatever-they’re-doing out of Sochi. It was an easy decision to make: this was bigger than any MLH rivalry and definitely bigger than a few hotel hook-ups. There was no room for distractions, not with Olympic gold on the line.
So it’d be really fucking great if their daemons could get on the same page and stop trying to cause an international fucking incident.

Vivi is named for her great-grandmother, the most recent in a long line of Alabastan queens of the name who are each wiser and fairer and more beloved than the last. She's a serious child, inclined to solemnly watch her father's speeches and audiences and meetings with her daemon a housecat in her arms or a plover on the back of King Cobra's daemon. They're not particularly regal daemon forms - not a bananagator like her father or a serval like her mother, not a peacock or dugong or scarab beetle or lioness - but they're solid forms, steady ones, and Vivi is a steady presence in her father's trips across Alabasta and abroad.
Vivi's daemon is named Isidora. Vivi shortens it to Issi, or sometimes just a hiss of air against the roof of her mouth, the way her father imitates a whirlwind when telling her stories, for Issi is as wild as the wind itself.

Charlie's well aware she can come off as… abrasive, sometimes. Her enthusiasm isn't easy for most denizens of Hell to swallow. She’s worked to tone it down as the hotel’s grand reopening creeps closer, giving residents more space and swapping the flashy events for more casual gatherings. Charlie wants her new (and old!) friends to feel as comfortable as possible, after all!
But there’s one issue that’s not as easily solved. And unluckily, Charlie’s pretty sure it’s her most abrasive feature of all. But she’s not so sure this is a part of herself she can tone down. Or really wants to, for that matter.

TJ Rietveld, formerly TJ Bright, has always defined himself at least in part by the fact that he made it out. He escaped the Foundation and is now living a free life in the multiverse. So when he is given the mission to enter the Playtime Co factory to retrieve a lost item of incredible power that is causing the area to warp into an unstable disaster zone (well, more of one than it already is), and thus the opportunity to pay his freedom forward and free the factory's inhabitants, he takes it.
Alongside SCP-079, referred to as Nines and freed in the same containment breach as TJ, his daemon Azerael, and a complex script written for them by a precognitive ally, TJ dives deep into the factory. But trinkets and friends aren't the only thing he's searching for in the depths. There is a being down there with the knowledge TJ needs to bring a certain kind of "joy" to the Foundation after all...
(Alternatively: The most familiar thing about the mascot horror is the horror, the scariest thing is the building, and TJ makes way too many friends. Also, there's robots.)
