Summary
Let the holy city burn.
Every so often, as not-quite-a-century comes and goes, the world of Vexellia has a crisis. It calls for the multiverse of Earths to defend it, and it summons champions from these lands like our own to gain Mythical power.
And every so often, these Myths win. They go home, and the world never changes. Politics continue, wars continue, people live and die and Vexellia remains stable.
But every so often, they don't. This is one of those times.
Six Myths, three from Vexellia and three from the many Earths. None will survive. Though they rely on one another and find passions in their hearts, it's all for naught. A hopeful land will descend into civil war and rivers will run with the blood of gods as they kill one another and plunge all into chaos.
This is the tale of the first Hexwar.

Summary
Work obligations bring a shut-in from the countryside into the city. One night when he's feeling low and isolated, he meets a beautiful woman in the bar of his hotel. They take a mutual interest in each other, and after a rocky start, they hit it off. Their relationship blossoms, but they must overcome the ghosts of their past in order to stay together.
Basically, the whole thing is a cliche, except its about little fox people and inspired by a map game.
This work is based off of my personal favorite Stellaris game and the custom empire I created for it. It draws upon the game and that empire as inspiration with many liberties being taken to flesh out the world, culture, and people.
