Eiden’s heart is thumping, panic rising along with the volume of the voices around him. They’ve stopped talking to him and are now talking about him. Or rather, they’re arguing about whose task is going to take priority.
Unable to bear it any longer, Eiden covers his ears and yells, “Shut! Up! All of you!”
The sudden silence is a relief, but it does nothing to reduce the tension. Eiden steps around the group and begins to walk away. Half a dozen voices call after him, asking where he’s going and who has first dibs on his time and attention. He tunes it all out.

Eiden is the heir of Huey, a formidable and rich physician. Following a series of terrible losses, Eiden finds himself in somewhat of a "bind" at a mental asylum, haunted by his brother's clingy ghost, and treated by a rich quack psychiatrist with a sadistic penchant. Perfectly aware of the double standards and paradoxes of his Victorian-like society, freed from the constraints of common sense and "sanity", Eiden will wholeheartedly embrace his new social status as a (rich) clinically insane person.
This story, set in a somewhat victorian-like setting with medical treatments from that time will contain anachronisms, perhaps some steampunk, and multiple pairings.

Long after the candles have burned down to their ends and flickered out one by one, a peaceful silence descends on the apartment. Quincy is stretched out on the sofa, with Kuya in a pillow nest on the floor beside him. Olivine is asleep in the recliner. Morvay, Eiden, Blade, and Rin stayed awake for a while talking, but now they’re out cold together in a tangle of limbs.
Aster claimed Edmond’s bed and is curled around Dante. Yakumo and Garu pulled out the sleeping bags and camped out on the floor in Edmond’s room as well. Which only leaves Edmond and Rei to retire to the other bed.

No obstante al caer la noche, el nuevo gran hechizo se disponía a ayudar al yokai serpiente a regular su esencia tras un largo día, lo que no esperaba era el temeroso Yakumo notara algo que no debió haber estado allí.
