Not that they both couldn’t do a casual fling, that wasn’t the problem. Sollux was more than fine with sharing just a night with someone, and if the few times Eridan stumbled back home late into the night are to be believed, he could too.
But they couldn’t. Not together.

Or, Sollux can't go home for Christmas, and now he is stuck with his roommate that he hates. Well, not exactly hate. He is mostly hating how infatuated he is with the guy. But, surely, spending the holiday together won't change anything between them.
