Summary
Each of them had tossed a small box into the middle of the table, each of them looking more and more flustered as they realised what had happened with each new box added to the small pile. It had only been fair that they had expected it would happen in the five years after they had first come together and defeated Shroud and the red ring, but none would have expected anything like this, Royd being the first to break the silence with a soft laugh of “Oh brudah.”
It's been five years since Shroud, five years since they all met Robert Robertson the Third. They all know they want to spend the rest of their lives with him.
Issue comes, they all want to be the first to pop the question to Robert himself, and the Z-team isn't known for playing fair with each other.

It's been 4 and a half months since the death of Shroud. Red ring activities have stopped almost overnight. Robert is doing better than ever, Z-team is doing better than ever. But Robert still hasn't moved on from everything that happened that night. He hasn't moved on from Invisigal turning against Z-team and becoming a villain. And once a new criminal faction called the Faith Keepers forms and fills in the void left by the death of the red ring, his guilt and regret will only grow. Is there hope? Even for someone like her? Will she commit to a life of villainy? Or will she come back around and become the hero she was meant to be?

Later in the evening following Shroud’s defeat, Robert and Courtney grab tacos for dinner. Then get up to a bunch of other wholesome activities like meeting the Z team for celebratory drinks and fucking. Things get a little domestic. Mecha Man takes his place at the head of the Z team while the last vestiges of the Red Ring accept a dangerous offer for a chance at revenge. Malevola confronts her past.
Post-Canon Epilogue to help cope until s2 formerly titled “embarassing” because it started as a 1shot fluff scene of the same name and morphed into more of my interpretation of the post-canon story.

The fight with Shroud and the Red Ring was over. The Z-Team had proven themselves as heroes. The team got to enjoy a well-earned day off before helping with the recovery efforts.
But amidst all the celebrations and recovery prep, everyone forgot to check on the dispatcher who had just been tortured by Shroud the night before-- a dispatcher who was too selfless to ask for medical attention. And when his injuries finally catch up to him, it's enough to send the whole team reeling.

Robert was left stranded in the wake of his father’s death. Not even eighteen, forced to confront his family’s legacy before he’d even graduated. He didn’t grieve for his father. You had to know someone to truly mourn them.

Four months after Shroud's imprisonment and with the Red Ring all but finished, the Phoenix Program has gained a ludicrous amount of recognition, so much so that the powers that be have recommended another batch of candidates. Unfortunately, they are somehow simultaneously better and worse than their predecessors. Worse still, there seems to be a new threat making their way into L.A., one that neither Robert nor Z-Team seem prepared to deal with.
With Z-Team's big break, it may be that Theta Team can be the answer to this particular question.
Problem is, how do you catch lighting in a bottle twice?

Too busy being Mechaman to ever be Robert, the omega. On the strongest suppressants his dwindling inheritance can buy, and then none when that eventually runs out too. Robert struggles to navigate life through the lens of a "normie". Someone who can't fall back on being a superhero in order to avoid his biology. He never expected to live this long to suffer the consequences of the abuse he put his body through constantly. Now, he's dealing with ex-super villains and trying to help them in their rehabilitation while suffering through a hormonal hurricane.
Luckily, or unluckily, depending on how you view it, his team is comprised of mostly single alphas who are all too happy to ogle their new dispatcher, who screams emotional baggage. Now just to see who can crack the sarcastic ass dispatcher first, and maybe do their jobs along the way.
