Ultimately choosing to accept the help offered by the Aldecaldos nomad clan, V [with some help from her girlfriend Judy Alvarez!] assaulted Arasaka Tower, reached Mikoshi, and managed to get her body back. But, apparently she was only going to be sticking around for about 6 months, or so Alt claimed. To top it all off, V managed to piss off just about every major player on the way out. The FIA, the NUSA, Militech, Arasaka...
And that isn't even to mention the Fifth Corporate War brewing as Militech eyes the bloodied body of Arasaka like a hungry vampire and the NUSA looks at the remaining Free States as free real estate.
V's gotta find a way to stay alive, but how the hell is she going to do that? And more importantly, how much is too much to give up in pursuit of that?

Jackie himself is eventually turned in the wake of the heist and sets out to help V find a solution to the Relic stuck in her head afterwards. In the meanwhile, neither are happy about the ride-along, Johnny Silverhand, while Jackie struggles to manage and accept his new state of being.
Vampire AU, Jackie and T-Bug live, Jackie helps V on main quests throughout the story.

Atticus Winters is an Agent of Firewall, one of those charged with ensuring that the flickering light of human civilization does not die out. Joining one of Firewall’s colonization programs, he passed through a trans-dimensional gate of unknown age and providence. Winding up in the past on a parallel Earth was not un-expected, as that had been a possibility they had planned for. Quickly discovering that the megacorps that dominate this version of Earth are rapidly driving humanity to extinction, fixing such a society would be the work of multiple lifetimes, but Atticus couldn’t call himself a Firewall Agent if he didn’t at least try.
A decade later he gets a call from Viktor Vektor, who had helped him establish himself in Night City. One of Vik’s patients, and friends, has a bullet in her head and an unknown biochip eating her brain. From how Vik describes her, and from what he hears from other fixers, she would make a good Firewall agent, and it is far past time for Atticus to set up his own Firewall cell.
V, still deeply traumatized from her time in Arasaka CI, absolutely does not want to bind herself to another corp, and is determined to get the Relic, and Johnny Silverhand, out of her on her own terms.
