Raffen gangs close in, Arasaka still hunts him, and the clan’s survival hangs on a knife’s edge. To protect the only family he’s ever known, V must face enemies both outside and within before the relic claims him completely.

Arasaka's relic program - to most people, it was a way to speak with the dead. Behind closed doors, it was a means to achieving immortality. In Night City, however, that's everyone's ultimate goal. V sought to become a legend, to leave his mark in a world where life was about rising to the top, no matter the cost.
The cost of the Konpeki Plaza heist, however, was more than he could ever imagine. It seemed death followed in his footsteps - Saburo Arasaka, T-Bug, Jackie Welles, and Dexter DeShawn, all falling like dominoes before him. Although the bomb in his head places him next in the queue, it also came with the woman who could save his life.

Only weeks after the failed Konpeki Plaza heist, V is strung out, exhausted, and the loneliest he's ever been. Maybe it was some cruel joke, since he now had a 24/7 companion. He never had a moment to himself, not to his grief or his physical needs.
But Johnny, always the asshole, can feel everything V does, including a mounting sexual frustration, and he's not willing to let it go until V gives in.
