Summary
Tony is a master at compartmentalising. He’s always been, ever since he was a little boy, when his father had nothing but contempt for him and his mother had moments where she could be bothered with him. He didn’t have the luxury on lingering how shitty their treatment made him feel, how worthless and sad.
So, he compartmentalised. He put it away in a little box in his head that only opened up when he was wasted as fuck, when the world became too heavy, too heavy a burden to bear, and his control was shot.
That’s what he did with Bruce Wayne.

Tony sighs as he drops his luggage on the luxury four-poster bed of the hotel room he booked. Alfred had been quite miffed when he’d learnt of Tony’s alternative accommodation arrangements, but he’d come around when Tony had confessed how awkward it was to stay in his ex-boyfriend’s house while he wasn’t there, especially since he was bringing a very shy, very introverted guest along with him, who had a number of weapons strapped to his person — Tony had most certainly not checked him out just to see how much — and many more in his duffle bag, including one impressive looking assault rifle that he palmed with such skill that Tony might start panting.
“You’re sure about this?” James asks, his voice low and intimate.
Tony bites back a shudder that goes all the way to his fingers and toes when he faces James and sees that impossible, dangerous look in his eyes.
“We don’t have to be here,” James goes on. “We can go home if you want.” The look in his eyes is solid, fierce. “I’ll take you home if you want.”
Tony loves him just for that, he thinks.

Steve Rogers does not like Bruce Wayne, in fact he despises him with a passion from the moment they meet and wants him as far away from Howards boy as possible.
Bruce does not like most of the Avengers, especially not Steve Rogers who he knows has got a thing for Tony and he wants Tony away from these people, however he doesn't want to loose Tony who has his heart set on being an avenger so for now he will take them on sufferance, for now anyway, but God help them if they dare hurt his Tony in anyway at all.
Eventually the Avengers true colours show and Tony is left reeling and as always blaming himself, Bruce wants to beat the crap out of all of them but he has a problem of his own to contend with, Superman, and despite Metropolis being the city Superman destroyed Lex Luthor AKA Dragonfly isn't lending him a hand in destroying this threat, and Tony doesn't think it's a good idea either.
Thankfully Lex and Tony are much smarter than Clark and Bruce (Sometimes) and manage to keep them from killing each other and revealing the real villain of the peace, Lex's not so dead as supposed Father Lionel Luthor.
New Chapter Three added, back to normal updates after this.

Summary
Lex and Clark are getting married and they want to start a family. However Clark is an alien and he's an Alpha where Lex is a male beta, so they need a surrogate. They turn to Lex's longtime friend Tony, who agrees to carry the baby.
If being pregnant weren't crazy enough, he's pulled back into the Avenger's when Steve calls from DC with an emergency regarding project Insight, and then there's the wedding which will be attended by Bruce Wayne, the Alpha Tony hasn't seen in nearly ten years.
Of course, Bruce is now Bat Man and has a pack of children, one of which is his by blood. While the two have mellowed somewhat over the years old feelings rise to the surface as they come back into each others orbit, especially as the Avengers and Justice League form a tentative partnership, which becomes very much needed as new enemies arise.

They're both broken in different ways, and Jay is able to recognize that about Tony.

The ending is indeed incredibly open in an unsatisfying way, still worth the read
This is also the fuc I recalled about Tony talking about his crappy childhood with Jason thinking he's talking about his, only for Tony to clarify it's his, not Jason's (although it's Jason's too, he just didn't know)
Also the one with Tony saying he never punched someone, and Jason not believing him, only for Tony to clarify he just blew stuff up and shot people

Summary
