“Well, I am a considerate person.”
James wished he were brave enough to look into Regulus’ eyes. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Regulus never listened to what James had to say, considering he couldn't even look at the youngest Black without his head getting too foggy to concentrate on his words.
So James looked away subtly. It was easier talking to Regulus’ forehead, because while it was perfectly smooth and home to a few strands of black, silky hair, it couldn’t stare into James’ soul and corrupt it with weird thoughts.“I promise if you do.”
“I promise, Potter,” Regulus scoffed, impatiently readjusting the collar of his shirt. James really had to bore him.
“Good, then so do I.”
They held out their hands to shake on the deal. James’ hand was firmly pressed against Regulus’ then, warm skin meeting cold, dark skin meeting pale. Before James could get a hold of the sensation, Regulus pulled him close and attacked him.
James Potter can't stop playing the hero to make himself feel useful. Somehow, that makes him end up closer to Regulus Black than he had ever imagined.

James Potter is a small time grifter trying to survive through the Great Depression. After he cons the wrong man, He teams up with an old pro to pull off the best sting of his life--one that will avenge the life of someone very dear to him. Things inevitably go wrong, and zany hijinks ensue: including gambling, love, merry-go-rounds, painter's tape, and a visceral fear of horses.

“It’ll take some time to get it right,” said Remus, rubbing at his eyes, “and I probably need a N.E.W.T.-level charms book. In the meantime, what do you reckon the password should be?”
James cleared his throat, raising a hand in grave salute as if he were being sworn in as Supreme Mugwump. “How about, I, a veritable Marauder of the highest order, solemnly swear that this most troublesome artifact shall be used in the name of highest mischief, until which time said mischief has been managed.”
Remus gave James a bemused look. “You think the password ought to be, I, a Marauder, solemnly—”
“I, a veritable Maruader of the highest order,” James corrected.
“All right, you think it should be, I, a veritable Marauder of the highest order, solemnly swear that… er…What was the rest of it?”
“What a stupid password,” Sirius interjected before James could offer Remus the rest. “How about just, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
“Fine,” said James begrudgingly, “but we need a password to clear the map off, too. How about, I hereby proclaim that—”
“How about, Mischief managed,” Remus interrupted.
James frowned. “I dunno…where’s the ceremony? Where’s the flair?”

Summary
All the Young Dudes est une longue fanfiction dépeignant l'époque des Maraudeurs durant leur scolarité à Poudlard (et même après sa fin pendant la 1er grande guerre ), du point de vue de Remus Lupin . L'histoire s'écarte du canon car le père de Remus est décédé, et celui-ci a été élevé dans un foyer pour enfants et il est décrit ici comme un peu rustre.
L'action se déroule entre 1971 et 1995, mais l'histoire a un développement extrêmement lent . L'auteur a littéralement mis des années à l'écrire cette œuvre , et nous la remercions donc pour son incroyable travail au passage ^^.
C'est bien une fanfiction Wolfstar, mais je vous promets que ça vaut le coup et franchement MsKingBean89 a fait un super travail !
