Marcille wants to marry Falin in a country where the two women's rights are constantly challenged; Senshi wants to take care of the local environment and promote sustainability in their community; Chilchuck, fresh from divorce, wants to succeed in his locksmith business, and Laios wants to keep his family safe, his plants/projects happy, his job peaceful, and his neighborhood strong and healthy. Together, they hope to endure and thrive.

An’t-Olean is an expending urban city set on the island it’s name after. Despite being over 1,000 years old, it has seen a revitalization of commerce around 100 years ago due to 2 reasons: gold and archaeology. This once rustic expanse around the seas of Kaka Brut has seen a great population boom as a result of these new industries. Even now, many people come to seek out a better life in An’t-Olean: whether in those industries, in the lustrous facilities that grew from them, or to start anew far from the troubles of the mainland.
Chilchuck seeks something he’s already regretting in An’t-Olean. Having been responsible for his family falling a part back in Kaka Brut, he decided to set up permanent dwelling on The Island to help his daughters in their ventures there. All is slow and miserable for the old Half-foot until his daughter Puckpatti ask him to take their Dog Immic to the Vet while she’s occupied. What started out as stressful task ends up as the most important moment in his life, as he meets Laios; the dumb college intern that has him starstruck.

And god knows he didn't need more rumours and questions coming from that loudmouth gossiper of an elf. He hated the prospect of bringing a family member with him into work like this. But with the loss of Falin, the best chance of getting her back was letting his personal nightmare became reality.

Two years after Laios' coronation, Melini is ready to start expanding outwards, building roads and settling new towns. But such ambitious ventures will require good trade and that means working to improve relations with Khaka Brud--and the hard-hearted noblewoman they've sent to delegate is not easily impressed.
To make matters worse, Laios has become deeply depressed after receiving a letter from his father for the first time in well over a decade. Seeing Laios withdraw from him makes Kabru's heart ache for his friend, but Laios' past has stayed a thorny topic all this time and he'll need to find a new approach to get him to talk. For the good of the kingdom, he needs Laios to open up to him.
