Summary
Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit with a taste for second breakfasts and a twinkle of mischief in his eye, led a double life. In the Shire, he was a respectable hobbit, content with pipeweed and afternoon naps. But whispers followed him beyond the rolling green hills.
He was Prince Took in the bustling taverns, a charming rogue with fantastical tales and pockets suspiciously lighter on coin. Back home, he was "Mad Baggins," a title earned for his unorthodox ways and penchant for disappearing acts that brought back souvenirs like troll teeth and elven daggers.
Yet, his most intriguing title surfaced far from the Shire. Campfires crackled with hushed tales of the Smiling Demon – a phantom swift, silent, and deadly. This legend, shrouded in mystery, painted Bilbo as a figure of vengeance, his smile a chilling mask before swift, merciless judgment.
The truth, however, was as elusive as smoke. Was he a monster lurking in the shadows? Or a guardian, a protector cloaked in secrecy? No one knew for sure. The Smiling Demon remained an enigma, a riddle wrapped in an unsettling grin. And perhaps, that very mystery was what made him most terrifying.

For a dwarf, talking about hair is very taboo, something you only discuss with family or a close lover. Cutting a dwarf's hair communicates great grief or unspeakable shame. The Company despairs as they can't figure out why Bilbo keeps cutting his beautiful hair, when they've told him countless times his past doesn't matter to them.

Summary
After the Quest of Erebor, Bilbo Baggins returned to the Shire desolate, with but a little chest of riches as his prize. For years afterwards, he regretted having done so, wishing instead that he had stayed by the side of the one he loved. Yet, he knew his place. As Gandalf had said, he was quite a little fellow in the wide world. A little hobbit like him had no business being a consort to a dwarven king - it was not done.
That was why, when he and the King of Erebor met again, Bilbo didn't think once that the impossible his heart still longed for could ever come true.

Bilbo Baggins was a hobbit of solitude.
A simple hobbit who didn't ask for too much, who preferred the silence of his smial compared to the loudness of other hobbit burrows.
He was a hobbit who preferred the loneliness, silence and emptiness his smial had, and there wasn't much else he could ask for, really. He was far too much like his father, a homebody unlike his mother, who was an adventurer at heart, who could never sit still or stay at a singular spot for too long without getting restless.
His solitude was not something he really chose for himself. It was something he was forced into after his parents' death because, for the Baggins, he was far too Tookish, but for the Took, he was far too Bagginses, making him feel like he had nowhere he could belong except his smial, which he almost treated like a museum of his parents' lives.
And he was fine with that, until one day a knock came at his door and suddenly his life was flooded with dwarves, orcs, weapons, adventures and experiences he could never have imagined before outside his mother's stories, and perhaps, along the way, love would finally find him.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins is a gentle hobbit of good reputation. He is the proprietor of his family estate and has a comfortable fortune. He is also unmarried, at the age of 43, and the whole of the Shire is speculating that the vein of wildness that plagues his family line is hindering his chances. In fact, no one in the Shire can understand Bilbo’s refusal of so many proposals from very auspicious matches. But, when a mansion built on the far west side of the Shire is occupied by visiting royals, the Master of Bag-End might just find his perfect match. That is, if prides and prejudices can be put aside.

They just did not realise how much yet.
Their ways of getting married, in particular, were most unexpected, but that would be up to their uncle to sort it out.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins had become a recluse after the death of his parents a year ago, but now he must set off to seek help. His parents were healers and creators of medicine, so why would they need to possess a book on necromancy? Bilbo sets out to find Gandalf in hope of ridding himself of his parents secret but finds himself instead travelling across middle earth to the lands of Dale. Where war is brewing and a dwarf king faces mortal peril at the hands of an old enemy.
Bilbo is self loathing and has to take care of Thorin, who remembers nothing of the dwarvish customs of courting. Leading to some awkward political tension.
Bilbo is a mess and Gandalf is a little shit.
