It’s on a whim really that Panto stops into the store. It’s a small bookstore named Inglenook, so small he almost missed it. He was looking for a gift for Litzi, her birthday was coming up and she was notoriously hard to shop for. He eventually settled on a book, she was talking about some fantasy series she was into so maybe he could get her something similar? The clerk could probably make a good suggestion.
The bell jingles above the doorway as he enters and the clerk looks up, stopping Panto in his tracks. He’s beautiful with eyes that Panto could get lost in. He smiles wide and Panto knows he’s smitten already.

A blink, a flicker of those eyes somewhere over his shoulder, or was it his chin? And the man smiled a small grateful thing. "Oh," he breathed out with a chuckle, and lifted a hand to gesture at the space between them, "then you've more than paid me back now."
"Or... This could just lead to you having to pay me back again in the future."
That got him a flash of teeth before the noble's lips pulled into a contained smile again. "A nice investment."
