He can't seem to get out of his head, His girlfriend "dumped his ass", his best friend is mad at him and now he is being forced to go to Maine with as much of The Party as possible to hang out with his dipshit cousin. His mom wouldn't even tell him why she just sort of, insisted? He was confused...but Derry, Maine was a distraction as much as any which was always his preferred form of conflict resolution. I mean at least he wouldn't have to deal with any Mind Flayer based drama for a summer.

“Okay raindrop,” said the demon rolling his eyes.
“Raindrop?” asked Lucas, confused at the sudden nickname.
“Yup, because you guys seem to have a pipe broken or something down here with all the water leaking from the ceiling” said the demon.
“So a nickname based on the flaws of the dungeon,” concluded Lucas to which the demon smirked at him.
“Yup, a flaw to match the flaws of human kind,” said the demon once again trying to catch Lucas’s gaze, but Lucas didn’t turn his head.
“Whatever you say snowflake,” said Lucas.In a kingdom where demons are killed on site and magic is prohibited. Lucas is just a human who wants to live a normal life as a royal guard. However after the capture of their first demon in years his life is thrown upside down. Secrets are revealed and Lucas learns more about demons than he wants. Maybe humans and demons aren't as different than he thought. On the other hand Devin works to figure out old royal secrets about his family. Perhaps they have more magical ties than previously believed.

Ian Gillan is in his senior year of high school. He plays soccer, and has finally made varsity. However, the art class he thought he'd get an easy A in is harder than he expected. Contracted to keep up his grade, he looks for aid in a classmate, Roger Glover, who could teach the class himself, if he wasn't so shy.
It doesn't take long for Ian to see that Glover treats him differently than everyone else in the art room. In fact, Roger can be downright bashful at times, reminding Gillan of some of his past girlfriends.
Nevertheless, some appearances can be deceiving. After Glover stops talking to Ian altogether, coming into class late, sometimes skipping days of school, Ian becomes suspicious. Rumors have started to circulate, too, and they are all about Roger.
Just who is Roger Glover? Why won't he look at Ian in the eyes anymore? And why is everyone talking about him behind his back?
