Summary
On the verge of turning fifteen, Clint Barton is sold to Hydra. When Ezra goes to ask Captain Rex about the Jedi he fought with in the Clone War, he discovers something about his friend that he never expected, a photo of Rex and a woman he describes as his 'girlfriend'. His questions cause Rex to remember his experiences both on and off the battlefield. Due to his upbringing, Rex at first has difficulty understanding why anyone would disobey the rules against 'fraternizing' with women. But serving alongside his famous Jedi general taught Rex that rules should be disobeyed if they are unjust. Rex makes the fateful decision to follow his friend's lead and allow himself some happiness despite the restrictions that govern his life and duty. Rex knows what he is doing might be a mistake, but he decides that some experiences are worth the consequences.
